   I have a litho of A. Mevisto by the artist ibels i am not familiar with the piece of art i have acquired it has a certificate of authenticity from merrill chase galleries it has a certificate along with a envelope on the back of the frame and in the envelope it has a biography of the artist. I would just like to know more about this piece and perhaps an appraisal if possible…

   I am certainly an amateur of the artistic life of Montmartre at the Belle Epoque, but I am not a specialist in evaluating works of art.
   One of the prints of your Mévisto’s lithograph by Ibels can be found in the following album:
   The Café-Concert: [Album] Lithographs by H. G. Ibels and H. de Toulouse-Lautrec; Text by Georges Montorgueil, Edt. « L’Estampe Originale, » 1893, Plate 3.
   A print of this album can be found at the Art Institute of Chicago, Department of Prints and Drawings. On October 31, 2018, I presented this album to the participants of « Chicago Paris Cabaret Connection » event managed by Claudia Hommel.
